Episode 04: Getting Strong is Cool: Strength Mindset & Muscle with Sean Fantuzzi
Meet Sean Fantuzzi
Sean is a performance coach and fitness professional at Life Time Athletic in King of Prussia, PA.
Holding certifications in Strength and Conditioning (CSCS), USA Weightlifting (USAW), and Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR Level 2), he’s worked with athletes from the college ranks to the pros.
When he’s not coaching, Sean is training and competing in CrossFit, or diving into the Marvel universe via trivia or simply reading more of the stories in the comics with his Berner puppy, who is a very good girl.
In this episode of Midlife Moves, I’m joined by my strength coach and CrossFit athlete Sean Fantuzzi (@seanfan2z) to talk all things lifting, mindset, and why getting strong isn’t just for 20-somethings.
We dive into:
• Why women are afraid of “getting bulky” and why it’s a myth
• Injury resiliency vs. prevention
• How to start lifting if you're intimidated
• What “heavy enough” really means
• Why fueling your body (especially with carbs!) matters
• How strength can change how you show up in life, not just in the gym
This one is honest, empowering, and full of laughs. Whether you’re already lifting or just strength-curious, you’ll walk away feeling encouraged to take up more space, physically and mentally.
